Josiah botches the bread and Elizabeth dials 911

Well, about two nights ago we tried out our bread maker. I eagerly anticipated the bread to come, the smell of it wafting through the house... In the mean time Josiah, Elizabeth and I worked on stuff together. Elizabeth's favorite activities are reorganizing the books (she prefers them on the floor), filing (emptying the contents of any drawer she can open, which is just about all of them=), and playing with whatever gadget she can. Evidentially, she is more gifted with the phone than we thought. A police officer showed up at our house saying there had been an abandoned 911 call. After apologizing profusely we went back to work, (taking away Elizabeth's phone privileges of course) still eagerly anticipating the nice, warm bread. Okay since I already gave the ending away, when I go to remove the bread and find it all deflated and covered in flour, then Josiah tells me that I read him the directions too fast and he put the ingredients in the wrong order. Oh well. We headed out to the local library and couldn't find an entrance without stairs and we had the stroller, so we ended up walking around the whole building before we found it.

In retrospect, this was one of the most memorable nights we've had in a while, and though it wasn't quite what we had in mind, I will remember this night for a long time, and will be thankful for the mix-ups that bring us closer together.
